Alentejo is the largest province in Portugal. It starts east of Lisbon and stretches along the coast and inland up to just above the Algarve. Until the 1980s, Alentejo was known as the “breadbasket of Portugal,” but later shifted to viticulture. Today, it is an important wine-producing region.
Description
Aromas of ripe red fruit with a soft hint of mint. Well-integrated (smoky) oak notes. Pleasant mouthfeel. Robust, full-bodied wine.
