Few Grand Cru Classé wines can rely on a history of more than seven centuries or were born of the passion of a Pope. The Château Pape Clément estate takes its name from its first owner, Pope Clément V, elected under the regency of Philip the Good in 1305.
The current owner has followed up on his work and was the first in Bordeaux to create a new technique: manual de-stalking of the entire harvest. With a quest for perfection, the grapes are transferred solely by gravity into small wooden barrels, adapted to any type of surface, to be vinified with the utmost care, starting from the vine to the bottle.
Grand Cru Classé Rouge is a ruby red color with light brown accents. Experience expressive and complex aromas of flowers and red fruits with a pleasant spiciness. Elegant on the palate with a pleasant aftertaste, this extraordinary French red wine from the Pessac-Léognan-Bordeaux region is not to be missed.
51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc
