Château La Cabanne has belonged to the Estager family since 1952. The château was completely renovated after the fire of March 2010, which destroyed all the cuveries and the 2008 harvest.

Château La Cabanne Pomerol Rouge is a prestigious Pomerol that colors the glass deeply and darkly. This beautiful 92% Merlot / 8% Cabernet Franc blend has a nose full of autumnal scents such as dry leaves, mushrooms, and musk, well balanced by small black fruits.

The taste does not disappoint: soft and round at first, followed by a spicy fruitiness with red fruit. The good acidity gives this powerful wine sufficient freshness. In the long finale, it shows its teeth through the spicy but noble tannins.

Highly recommended with red meat, lamb, and game.

Description

Prestigious Pomerol with a deep and dark colour. Elegant Merlot showing aromas of dried leaves, mushrooms and subtle earthy notes, balanced by small black fruits. Smooth and round on the palate, followed by vibrant red fruit character. Fresh acidity brings balance and elegance, while the long finish is supported by firm yet noble tannins.
