Can I set a specific day and time for delivery?

For delivery on a specific date, please choose Express shipping. We regret that time of day cannot be specified with any shipping method. An overview of the different shipping methods can be found in our Shipping Guidelines.

Do you offer same-day deliveries?

We do not offer same day deliveries, however the majority of our gifts can be delivered the next business day if ordered before the shipping cut off time. When calculating delivery times, please be sure to take into account any time differences between your home location and our headquarters in Belgium on Central European Time (GMT +1).

Saturday delivery is also available to select countries. Each product page will show the available delivery methods for that particular item. Please click the “info” icon next to the shipping method on a product page to view the earliest available delivery date for that method.

Why do you request the recipient's phone number and email address?

The recipient's contact information is very useful in case any delivery issues arise. We never use this information for marketing purposes, nor do we share it with any party other than the delivery company. When entering the phone number, it is best to write it without spaces.

Will the driver call before delivery to arrange a time?

It is not customary in Europe for shipping companies (even UPS or FedEx) to call the recipient before delivery. Use of mobile phones in the field is considered a hazard to the driver. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The recipient’s phone number will be used by our staff or by the local depot of the delivery company to attempt to resolve any delivery issues that may arise whenever possible.

Can you deliver to a PO Box or military base?

A physical address is required for delivery. We regret that we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes or military bases.

How do I know my gift has been delivered?

You may check the delivery status of your gift in the Account Center or by following the tracking information in the shipping notification email. Log in details to the Account Center will be included in your order confirmation email.

What if the recipient is out when the gift is delivered?

An adult signature is typically required for deliveries in Europe. If the recipient is out when a delivery attempt is made, the driver will leave a notice and reattempt delivery on a future date. Should multiple delivery attempts be unsuccessful, the shipper may return the parcel to our warehouse.

In some countries, the shipper will leave the parcel in front of the door or with a neighbor when requested in the delivery instructions field, though we cannot guarantee that the delivery company will follow these instructions. Please see our Shipping Guidelines for more information.

How can I correct an incorrect delivery address?

If the gift has not yet been shipped, please email customer service immediately.

If the parcel is already in transit, the recipient should contact the courier directly with the parcel tracking number ASAP to make the final delivery arrangements. Please note that contacting customer service to correct the delivery address for a parcel in transit will result in a delay and increases the chance of a failed delivery.

Why was my gift delivered to an Access Point?

Delivery to Access Points is a common practice in Europe and is entirely at the discretion of the courier. Unfortunately, we are not able to reroute parcels that have been delivered to an Access Point. We apologize for any inconvenience.

What happens if my order is not delivered on time?

GiftsForEurope strives to deliver your order in a timely manner in accordance with the selected shipping method. Please note that delivery on an exact date is not guaranteed with Ground or Standard shipping. Choose Express shipping if delivery is needed on a specific date. Can I send a gift to a hotel guest?

Yes. The parcel will be delivered to the hotel's reception area. We strongly recommend that you advise the recipient of the delivery to ensure the gift will be passed on correctly by the hotel staff. Please ensure that the name of the registered guest is on the shipment. In case the recipient is at a hotel for professional reasons, it is also useful to include his or her company name.

For deliveries to hotels, we strongly recommend selecting Express delivery so that the gift will be delivered on an exact date; Ground deliveries have the possibility of arriving before or after the guest’s stay at the hotel.

Can I send a gift to a hospital patient?

Yes. For delivery to a hospital, we require the floor level, the route, and the room number, since not all deliveries are accepted at the reception. It is advisable to contact the hospital before ordering to inquire about their policies.

We recommend that the sender advises the recipient of the delivery, to ensure the gift will be passed on correctly. Please also ensure that the recipient is not scheduled for discharge on the requested delivery date. For deliveries to hospitals, we recommend selecting Express shipping so that the gift will be delivered on an exact delivery date.
