Delivery

How do I know my gift has been delivered?

You can always check delivery confirmation in your Account Center. After your order is complete and your payment has been processed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that provides login details for your account center.

What if the recipient is out when the gift is delivered?

In case no one is present at the delivery address during delivery, our delivery company will leave a notice and the recipient should be able to arrange for a new delivery time. You can track this information directly in your Account Center. If possible, our Customer Care Team will contact the recipient to help arrange a new delivery.

If circumstances and the shipper's policies allow it, the shipper will leave the parcel in front of the door or with a neighbor. Please note that in most European locations gifts cannot be left at the door. For major cities like Paris a building manager often signs for the gift.

Can you leave the gift at the door if no one is available?

As the majority of our deliveries are international deliveries, a signature is required for delivery. With certain locations in Belgium and France delivery companies allow gifts to be left at the door if appropriate (access to an apartment building is required and the driver must determine that the gift is safe from street activity).

When do you deliver?

We offer delivery Monday to Friday during business hours throughout Europe. Saturday delivery is currently offered in Belgium and France.

Can I set a specific day and time for delivery?

You can select the desired date for delivery during the order process. Please note that gifts sent with Ground Shipping do not ensure delivery on a specific date and may be delivered before or after your requested date. It can take up to 7 - 10 business days to deliver your gift depending on the destination and time of year (delivery times during the holiday season are typically longer). Gifts sent with Standard Shipping will be delivered by the end of day on the selected delivery date and possibly earlier. Gifts sent with Express Shipping are guaranteed to arrive by the end of day on the selected delivery date. We recommend using this method for any time-sensitive gifts. Will the recipient see the charge for the gift?

No, we never include invoices with gifts. GiftsForEurope takes pride in providing a comfortable gifting experience for both the sender and the recipient.

Can I send a gift to someone staying at a hotel?

Yes. The parcel will be delivered to the hotel's reception area. We strongly recommend that the sender advises the recipient of the delivery, to ensure the gift will be passed on correctly. In case the recipient is at a hotel for professional reasons, it's useful to include his or her company name.

Can I send a gift to someone who's in the hospital?

Yes. The gift will be delivered to the hospital reception. We recommend that the sender advises the recipient of the delivery, to ensure the gift will be passed on correctly.
If available, please include all information about the room number, the floor or hospital department. Please also ensure that the recipient is not scheduled for discharge on the requested delivery date. For patients in critical care, floral arrangements and fruit baskets may not be allowed. We suggest contacting the hospital before ordering to inquire about their policies.

Do you deliver to a PO Box?

To ensure the quality of your gift, we do not deliver to PO Boxes. A physical address is required to ensure delivery.

Why do you request the recipient's phone number and e-mail address?

The recipient's contact information is very useful in case any delivery issues arise. We never use this information for marketing purposes nor do we share it with any party other than the delivery company. When entering the phone number, it is best to write it without spaces and without the country code.

Will the driver call before delivery to arrange a time?

Unfortunately it is not customary in Europe for shipping companies (even UPS or FedEx) to call the recipient before delivery. Use of mobile phones in the field is considered a hazard to the driver. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The phone number provided will be used by our staff or by the local depot of our delivery company to resolve any delivery issues that arose whenever possible.

Do you offer same-day deliveries?

Unfortunately we do not offer same-day deliveries. However, the majority of our gifts can be delivered the next day. When calculating delivery times, please be sure to take into account any time differences between your home location and our headquarters in Belgium on Central European Time (GMT +1).
